Sorry I didn't realise some of you out there are new to internet house parties. These are the rules.
1. Party is organised. That's me tonight.
2. An album is agreed on for listening to. Difficult. Tonight I'm giving clues at the bottom.
3. Venue, Date and Time. Your bed or your couch. Tonight. 7pm-8pm.
4. Item of memorabilia is selected. Suggestions: Cut down trousers, scarves, anything tartan.
5. Refreshments selected. Your choice but no alcohol, cigarettes or non prescription drugs.
6. Room cleared of non fans. No problem tonight in this house.
7. Music goes on player. I do digital, you can do vinyl if you still have it, but no climbing into the loft.
8. Lay back and really listen to the lyrics and remember happy days.
9. This is the really important bit. Toe wiggling is acceptable but NO DANCING.
10. Find yourself surprised it feels just as good. Or maybe even better.....?
So tonight come back to 1974. The playlist includes: "Remember (Sha la la la)" and "Keep On Dancing" and ends with "Bye Bye Baby". I've got the double album, the one with the tartan slip on sleeve and the booklet inside. You don't know the album? Then I don't want you here! I'm going to have a good time. It's Friday.
