Yesterday Bill walked up the stairs by himself ,then to show off he did it again when I visited him in the afternoon it was just wonderful to see him so full of energy and he is off the oxegen for at least most of the day ,it is amazing what a few days makes .Today we see the consultant ,he is going to tell us the results of the biopsy that they took at the time of the operation,I only hope everything is going to be alright I have been trying to put this to the back of my mind but can't help worrying ,since the op it has been all about getting him through it all,now all the old fear seems to have come back ,do we never get to relax and have a day without worry.

Today is 25th may and Bill has been home for four days now and is getting used to his new plumbing and eating regime, little and often seems to be the way now and walking every day to pick up his papers ,still sleeping alot though, I dont think he has watched a film all the way through since he came home. The cat now uses him as a warm place to sleep on, one snores the other purrs dont know which one does what though( only joking it's the that cat snores ).As you can read a sense of humour is needed for recovery as without one I dont think I could cope and I am not the patient ,I am just happy that he is home for me to look after and to see him eat again is the best thing yet .

Sorry for taking so long to get back just been busy looking after Bill and working, as always life goes on.  Bill had a set back last week was vomiting non stop so I had the docs out three times in two days as we could not stop it even  with the meds that they were giving him, he became very dehydrated and was loosing weight so they decided the hospital was the best place for him ,where he was immediately put on a drip and given really strong medication for the sickness, it took them four days to get it to stop and only after an endoscope showed that there was a small kink in his lower abdomen, so they sorted that, and after it was done Bill felt better nearly immediately and was sick free and able to eat again, panic over, then we were told he would not get his first chemo session till he was stronger and not feeling so tiered, as it had taken a lot out of him and all he wanted to do when they allowed him home was to sleep and he did, all that day and most of the night ,we are now trying to get him fit enough for the chemo.

Thank you for all the support ,will be back soon.

I have lost the most important person in my world ,Bill passed away on the 19th October after being in hospital for three weeks his lung had filled with liquid and they were draining it but with all the oral morph he was given to help with the pain he became constipated ,they gave him a scan and found the cancer was found to have spread to his liver and the top of his lung hence the liquid ,however it was the blocked bowel that caused his passing ,I was with him for the last two nights at the hospital and held him as he died ,we had a celebration of his life on the 26th        October .
