Anxious for Husband with 2 nodules in neck

Hello Bobt.   I'm sorry that your husband has been through treatment for throat cancer all those years ago and now has the worry of this lump / nodule biopsy. Well it's almost five years since I had extensive surgery / radiotherapy for floor of mouth cancer and I still get worried if anything feels ' different ' at all.

I developed a small nodule type lump on my neck, but as I'd had a bilateral neck dissection it was put down to scar tissue / nerve ends fusing together .... it's just above my scar line. I also had a tongue biopsy at the two year mark as it wasn't healing too well from the radiation ( result was mucositis ulceration ) but the point being that they have to check these things to make sure.

So I understand how anxious you are both feeling just now, but try not to hit the panic button yet .... easier said than done, I know ! If it will help any, we have a Head and Neck Cancer group here on the site which you can join for help and support. Take care and best wishes for a clear result.

Thanks Laura & Joycee for your comments , i will look at the support groups , i understand that this type of cancer can be up & down but he was doing so well then this happens , hopefully it could also be benign.
