Well its been nearly three week since my operation and finally the major shooting pain has gone, and i have slowly weened myself off the oramorph, but my question is what is happening in my body,
i have a blood test monday and will find out the results and what happens next friday, even though the results are pre ordained there are three possible results
a) my tumour markers have returned to nearly normal, thus giving the impression that there are no cancer cells left in my body and i will be put on watch and wait
b) the tumour markers haven't really decreased enough or the trend is rising again which will mean a scan then operation on my right lung to remove some more nodules
c) tumour markers increase the tumours have spread only palliative care left
naturally i would prefer choice a) with no more treatment, but in a way i be quite happy with point b moving to choice a as that would give me the piece of mind that every suspect nodule has beeb removed
i prey for the sake of my wife it not option c as that scares me witless
