Surprised

1 minute read time.
Well that was a surprise, the dreaded consultation day, i had all sorts of worries and of course being told news no one wants to hear, So with dread i sat in the out patients room and waited for my name to be called to find out the results of my ct scan and tumour markers, Eventually the consultant walked in and ask how much info i wanted to hear, Well to start is it good or bad news? Good news was the reply, my scan show shrinkage but they still visible, and they unsure whether they are active, My tumour markers are still coming down, well down from the last blood test. And they recommended that i have another go at extracting enough stem cells for a third cycle. Like most people who get a bit of good news you just want more, i must admit i hoped they say thats it you dont need any. More chemo, but that was always unlikely as they always wanted to give me three cycles. So i take that, better then the alternative that my markers were going back up. Just got to produce enough stem cells first. Maybe by the end of sept - mid oct this 25 month nightmare will be over.
