Well that was fun (not) taken though the hdc with stem cell transplant. A course of injections to boost my stem cells then a day of harvesting maybe two And then maybe my first cycle of hdc what unnerved me was if they think its worth it I may get another cycle and hopefully 3 Yikes ... First time i want more then one cycle of chemo

Hi mate. You'll soon get used to the Injections. What you want is back ache. Trust me its painfull right in your bones but the more back ache you have the more cells your body is making. Then hopefully they can harvest all they need in one go. They took 11million from pete 1st time. This was I think they sed 4 times what he needed. The harvesting itself is really boring after the fascination of the machine wears off 10 mins in so you may want to take book lol. Petes due his 3rd on 6th may. The last took its toll a little harder than the 1st so they given him a little longer till the next one.... must update my blog lol. Anyway we are with you every step of the way. And believe men wen I say pete has found this easier than the bep and the tip.

When did you start receiving filgrastim/ prelaxifor for stem cell harvesting?

Who prepared food for you while you were on high dose Chemo? What type of food items did you eat? How was it prepared? My mom is planned for the same, just need some pointers.
