It was actually the end of November 2024 that i first noticed the lump on the right hand side of my neck, we were out have a coffee and ran my hand down my neck and asked my wife, "do i have lump on my neck?", the answer was "yes, how come you've only just noticed it, we better get that checked !"
10th Dec 2024, visit to the local walk in centre, where i was seen (after a 3 hour wait) by a very nice doctor who suggested that I have blood tests done asap.
12th dec 2024, Blood test done.
16th Dec 2024, consultation with doctor, bloods didn't show anything abnormal but was referred to the ENT dept at local hospital.
Christmas eve 2024, consultation with ENT consultant and after him shoving a camera up my nose to have a look at the lump from the inside, agreed that a Ultrasound scan and biopsy would be the next step to find out more. So Christmas was a little quiet for me as thoughts buzzing round my head, but got the date for the ultrasound scan and biopsy very quickly.
News years eve 2024 , they really know how to take the edge of celebrating ! but at least I'm getting checked. Scan and biopsy done, now for a drink or two to celebrate the new year 2025.............. little did I know !!
