So yesterday I had my hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsies taken under GA. All went well and I’m floating on a cocktail of drugs for now.

The consultant suspects my endometrial hyperplasia is back but struggled to see much as my womb is so cystic and just looks bad.

I now have a 3 week wait for the results which is just the hardest thing for me. He’s inserted a mirena again to get a head start on the treatment…

So I had the ultrasound (finally) and surprise surprise! I was right. My uterus is once again very thick at 17mm and very cystic. The hyperplasia May be back, or had never actually fully gone...

I have been fast forwarded down the 2 week cancer route and have a gynaecology appointment on Thursday. I know I’ll need another biopsy.

Im scared they’ll want to do a hysterectomy. I’m scared I won’t be able to have children…

    Hi everyone,

So I had the Mirena out in October (finally!) but something still isn’t right. It’s been 3 months and I haven’t bled at all. I’ve had 2 days of light spotting this week but that’s it. I’m scared the hyperplasia has returned. My GP is calling me on Wednesday and I’m going to request an ultrasound to see if the thickness in my uterus is back. Also check for any cysts or polyps.…

So on Friday (24th) I had my 3rd and hopefully final biopsy under GA and the consultant said everything looked good. So I’m happy but in a lot of pain. Ended up being given a lovely cocktail of IV morphine and tramadol when I came round from the anaesthetic!

I should get the results in 3-4 weeks and if all is good, I’m hoping the Mirena can come out as my partner and I would like to start a family soon :)
