Last year the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning raised an incredible £27 million to help us support people affected by cancer. This year we’re hoping to raise even more.
Every year, members of our Cancer Information Development team drop into their local coffee mornings to say thank you to everyone involved. We admit, the cake is a nice bonus! But it’s the funds raised that help us produce our information and get it to people affected by cancer for free.
How do your donations help?
What did we get up to?
Phew! That’s a lot of good you’re doing. So, how did we say thank you?
Sarah, Lucy, Shubha and Faiza popped into a Marks and Spencer coffee morning. That’s one content developer, two content channel editors and an editorial assistant – quite the gang!
Sue, one of our senior information nurses, visited three delicious coffee mornings, including one at Jenger’s craft bakery.
Lauren, an editor in the team, volunteered at King & Wood Mallesons law firm. By the looks of these cakes, we think they would be firm favourites on the Great British Bake Off.
Marilisa, a senior editor, and Amy-Louise, one of our editorial assistants, went along to two coffee mornings. One in a delightful coffee shop, and the other at Whipps Cross Hospital.
Our favourite cake of the day? It has to be this biscuit barrel creation we spotted on Twitter.
Thank you!
As always, we loved our World’s Biggest Coffee Morning experiences and hope you did too. So far this year’s event has raised a massive £734,419.00 – and the day’s not over yet!
So, a huge thank you to everyone who organised, hosted or attended a Macmillan Coffee Morning. We’d love to see your photos or hear your stories – please share them below!
