I completed my RT about 3 weeks ago. I had 37 sessions with very caring staff at St. James's Leeds. Like many before me my insides are very delicate at the moment, but I am beginning to see some improvement with them. I am on HRT and will be for a long time according to the specialist. At the moment my wife and I, like many, are self-isolating. Being retired, this as not impacted our lives very much. I would like to give you my best wishes and happiness.

  • Thank you. I hope you continue to improve. Spring is coming!

Wish you well. My husband is going to have same treatment but because if corona virus has no time plan hopefully it will be before the 6 months is up. You are lucky if that's right to say thing to say to have it behind you and to look forward. They always say men with prostate cancer can wait if they are on hormones, because they never make a fuss.

Wish you well, hope you have plenty of toilet roll and pasta.

Please continue to let us know how you feel.

Hello Margaret, I must admit that I was glad when the RT was over, the staff were wonderful. I will be according to the consultant be on hormone therapy for life but that is no hardship. Unfortunately I will never be cured but that does not stop me enjoying life. My best wishes to you and your husband. Hopefully he will be given a date for treatment soon. Michael.

  • Hi Hangingman,

    Good attitude!

If you don't mind me asking what was your diagnosis? It seems unusual to have radical radiotherapy and be on HT for life?

My diagnosis was terminal. Cannot understand why you should ask this question?????

  • Sorry I didn't mean to offend. As I say it was only if you didn't mind.

It's quite a new thing to offer radiotherapy so I just wondered. My husband also has PC
