My partner has recently been diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma which we are told is quite rare.
would really like to link in with anyone who has experienced or experiencing Burkitts or anyone supporting someone with this Lymphoma.
Thanks

Hi All sorry I’m late to the party. I was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma in December 2021 aged 29. Was in hospital for RCodoxM/RIVAC with spinal chemo from NYE ‘21 until discharge in April 22. I got an infection in my PICC line a week after discharge and ended up in septic shock and back to hospital for 3 further weeks. Have been in remission since my post-treatment PET scan, however have been having all sorts of problems processing emotionally the whole experience
Hiya , you have been through the worst fight ever , I know I was diagnosed with the same and the same chemo , I'm 17 mths in remission and I still phone the helpline up on bad days.. I call it being on a rollercoaster and sometimes it doesn't stop , remember everyone is different , different effects as we deal with it , remember to be nice to yourself , do something for you.. if you want to talk I'm here if you wanna pick me for symptoms.. hair.. skin.. or general chat , take care of you , Xx
Hi, morning, keep the positive thoughts going, ask as many questions as you need to. It's easier for children to recover from Burkitts than adults, 2021, I was diagnosed with Burkitts, I was 55 yrs old, by the time I had finished my treatment, I had no visable nodules, my PET Scan then showed that I was in remission, if you ever need a chat/ vent I'm here, just message me
Thank you for your message. His pet scan showed cancer still present head to toe. My heart is breaking. So many nasty people in this world, and its my son that gets this. We are waiting on resilts of his 2nd biopsy.
Its good to hear people do recover from this, and im glad things are going your way.
Good morning MyBoyL as much as this all sounds like mountain that is just not possible to climb…… it is.
At the point when I was stage 4 following many relapses my body was about 70% covered with tumours ‘on’ my skin!!!!!…… but that was late 2013….. and here I am talking with you
Thank you Mike. Im trying to get through to the support line, but keep getting cut off.
Is it the Macmillan line or Lymphoma Action?
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
