Very new to this so don't know if I'm doing it right. I am very scared. Hubby has endoscopy tomorrow after having difficulty swallowing food for a while. Can't see past getting a very bad outcome there doesn't seem to be any alternative. Our 40 year old nephew is on last days of life with bowel cancer so our family is going through the mill at the moment and I dread putting more worry on them with this. I am so worried.
Sue,
I think the human mind is programmed to prepare us for the worst. Its like when you mess up at work your mind tells you, you will get sacked the next day, but nothing happens. Chemotherapy is obviouly not a walk in the park some people react better than others, but many can still have a good quality of life whilst on it my advice is take it day by day and tackle the symptoms one at a time. My profile I have covered everything I learnt. Do get ahead of the game though with the moisturiser and sensitive mouth care. I actually booked into see a dental hygienist before I started treatment for a teeth clean and I am glad i did
