Waiting for CT. Worried about spread.

Hi waiting for results of abdo/pelvis Ct scan tomorrow. Lung team reviewing my chest Ct as suspected fibroid seen. Surgery for triple neg breast cancer deferred till 15 March, needed full picture, it’s horrible waiting, I’m 76 and worried I won’t get full treatment due to age? Poor family very worried too. Thanks for asking, how are you doing?

Oh Millsey, I don't think you need to worry about not getting full treatment due to your age. I don't think that is an issue these days. I have met many people your age who have been receiving the very best of care.

Yes the waiting is the worst part really. I shall be thinking of you tomorrow when you get your ct results. 

I am doing OK. Just fed up with the pain!

I agree. I don’t think age comes into it. Hope not anyway as I am nearly 75. I have friends in their 80’s with other cancers and they are getting great care.

Please don't think that you won't get full treatment. Nowadays technology, knowledge are amazing. Even the things we think they're big, so small issues for doctors. I'll be thinking about you, I hope everything will be just fine.

And by the way, my mother in low got it when she was 76 and it was 12 years ago. She got the full treatment, like what she needed, and the recovery process was very smooth. No need to worry. 

Thank you everyone for positive replies, abdo Ct clear waiting for lung team to review re suspect fibroid today so hopefully surgery on 15 March to start treatment
