Hi All just looking for a bit of support as struggling today. Following CT and 2 MRI scans should have had an appointment with consultant surgeon on Tuesday but this has now been postponed till next Friday due to staff shortages at the hospital and the clinic being cancelled. Really gutted as need to get results and find out prognosis as thinking the worst today. I know there will be lots of others in my position now and in the past and really trying to be positive and take one day at a time but as I'm sure you all know it's not always that easy.
That’s how I felt for op .. and I feel the same for my chemo relax now and sleep well xx
Hi Seashelly and Hattie, agree the relief to know what's happening is just so reassuring. I am also looking forward to the op as hopefully it will be totally successful and if at worst chemo is needed it will bei just another tool to get rid of this awful disease.. Knowing that there are others out there in a similar position is such a fantastic support, thank you all for your support. Xxx
I feel the same, it’s been amazing having you all here for support xxx
Hi All
I have been watching this thread but unable to comment due to ‘technical issues’
Seashelley and Chelmarsh we seem to be on a similar path. My Dx in my profile but I had a colon resection 10 days ago and am still awaiting histology results ( once tumour and nodes removed I have found the anxiety drops a few notches ;) )
I left hospital early Day 5 and am considering going back to 2-3 days of light work duties next week ( about day 18)
good luck for both your operations …. Day 2 I found a little grotty but you feel yourself getting stronger day by day after that. I’m still on LFNO diet atm but have cheated a couple of times with no ill effects
here’s hoping for good results all round.
Hi Parky2170 thank you so much for sharing, amazing that only after day 18 you feel strong enough to do light work duties :-)
wishing you all the luck for your histology results, I’m now looking forward to getting the next step done on Wednesday!
Please keep us posted on your results, it’s been amazing that we can connect with people going through the same journey, very comforting.
Ive decided I’m putting my Christmas tree up tomorrow to get a bit sparkle in my life for when I’m home lol
Thank you again x
Hi Seashelly, bet your Christmas tree will be the best it's ever been. Keep u posted on how you are doing. Fingers crossed for you xx
Thank you and you, I’ll keep you updated after my op and let you know how it went xx
Do everything you need to heavy lifting wise prior to going in for your Op. Xmas tree sounds a great idea and very cheery
Do a big food shop you’ll need to keep away from nuts, seeds, vege skins and fibre etc
Maybe make some meals/ soups etc and freeze ahead … buy in some fruit juice smoothies etc
