Hi all, I was diagnosed last June with bowel and secondary liver cancer. I had 12 rounds of FolFox and resections in the bowel and liver. FolFox did cause some low platelets but not too bad. At my 3 month scan after treatment had finished it showed my bowel was clear but more cancer spread in my liver and small amount in my lungs.
I started Folfiri nearly 2 months ago but have only had 2 rounds due to low platelets. Worse than FolFox.
Has anyone had a similar reaction/ issue and did they give you anything for the low platelets? I’m just getting extremely concerned in the delays in my treatment.
