Good morning,
I was diagnosed with lower rectal cancer back in May 2025. I had a stoma fitted in June and 5 days of radiotherapy and 12 weeks of Capox chemo. At the end of December I had APER surgery with V-Y Gluteal flap reconstruction.
I have recovered from the operation and got back to work in June on a phased return.
My issue is sleeping, the doctor prescribed me Melatonin which did help and I also take magnesium. I get so restless when I go to bed. My legs and body just ache and I cant get comfortable and land off giving up and getting up and heading downstairs.
When I can feel myself away dozing off my brain just doesn't want to stop and that's when the restlessness starts.
I'm waiting to hear back from my doctor to see if they can check my bloods
Can this be common post treatment?
