I am informed from a reliable source that we are now firmly in July !

So where did June go !?

Time for some garden flowers then !

Hope you are all getting out and about when possible and letting a bit of summer carry you through treatment or recovery !

    Beautiful

  • Well done ! Just wanted to thank you for recommending the  Plant Net app for plant recognition. We often go to a local NT park which has lovely gardens. I was able to identify loads of the plants for the first time !

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Thanks and lovely to hear from you - Hope you’re doing ok? We’ve moved from Yorkshire to Lincolnshire so I’m definately doing flatwards now! The apps great isn’t it? I probably would’ve dug up all my poppies thinking they were thistles without it although I wasn’t too happy when I discovered the bamboo See no evil x

  • Last week we ventured abroad for the first time since March '20, we had a short break in North Wales.  Weather was good, sunsets incredible.   Taking a final beach walk before driving home, my wife slipped and hit her face on some rocks.  Alot of blood, hurt arm and foot, decided to go to Whiston hospital as it is the specialist facio maxillary unit for Liverpool.   No serious damage to face, but one broken ankle that requires surgical pinning and two broken wrists.  The Dr is now a very impatient patient.  Awaiting delivery of O/T equipment that may allow her to come home as she is now immobile and can't use crutches as she can't weigh bear for 6 weeks.  It has also brought to an end her return to work last year due to the covid crisis.  R&R is not something she takes well.  It also means a delay, for her, in returning to our beloved Anfield in August.

To anyone out there who is vaccine uncertain please speak to a knowledgeable medic and have it.  For anyone involved in pride activities hope it was a  'good 'un,' and for anyone celebrating Eid al-Adha, Eid Mubarak for the 20th

YNWA- five weeks and we go again

  • Thanks  and , doing well. Very pleased with the new knee. Have been swimming and will restart Tai Chi on Thursday. Awaiting my 4year CT and CEA results. Not getting too anxious about it. Hope your Mum is still doing well  x

  • Well if you really want to go to far flung exotic parts there is always Scotland !

I hope the OT get her as independent as possible quickly but it sounds quite a nasty fall ! One thing for sure she will find a way as fast as she can to get her independence back . I bought my mum a bath lift and found it behind the sofa ! Could not even get my own mother to comply so I sympathise with you !

It is such a shame after all her hard work with the vaccines recently! She has done a great job there ! Thankfully we have had some great uptake here despite some vocal differences of opinion on its value. I only know one person who was not going to take it but has since had a change of heart and his was over fear !

Send her our very best wishes and hope she heals soon !
