Hi, I've just been told I've cancer in one of the polyps I had removed in colonoscopy. I had 3. On my letter that day said probable benign but now this. I'm now awaiting my ct scan and hospital appointment so it's the unknown I'm anxious about. I'm 45 years old and hand had no symptoms other than breathless and heart palpitations which led to blood tests for anaemia then my doctor asked me to do stool test which was positive. In shock
Hi Binzy,
I'm 48 and back in July I had a colonoscopy and they found 2cm tumour in the Sigmoid region of my colon. Like you I experienced none of the major symptoms, so I was rather shocked when I found out. I had the growth removed and part of the bowel 5 weeks ago. I was given the all clear two weeks ago. My advice, try and stay positive and keep busy. The nurses and surgeons/consultants will keep you right and I found them excellent. I had a lot of fears about the surgery and I found chatting on this forum helped easy such worries.
Best wishes and I hope everything goes well for you.
