Here we go again...Another appt. for a scan,a few days before Xmas. My last one was March, & they seem to come around so soon. Of course, I appreciate being followed up - for the five years, following cancer diagnosis, but when you receive the letter, you are reminded of the past, & the fear of the future, & what that could bring. Scanxiety really brings you back to earth.
Thanks Court
Im sorry that you’re going through this again. It’s really tough. I hope that you are okay and your Mum.
We will plod on. Bowel Cancer has come a long way and our treatment has been amazing
Fingers crossed for all the scans. They’re easy to have it’s the waiting that’s the worryTake care

I could not find that PattyK , the one I read was a small research trial in Barcelona and it only had around eight patients and only two of them were bowel cancer however the actual trial interested me as it was focused on stopping the rate of cell division hence stopping the tumour growth . Early days but going to trial it further . However they had success !!!
Was it an older trial you noticed ?
I will look again .
Take care ,

To be honest it’s caught up with me a bit this week . Artsie . Missing my dad and mum was not so good today and here I am doing the nightshift .
However we know we will gather strength and press on .
You take care we definitely have a debt in our family we just can’t pay back and when we are a bit stronger I would like to do some fundraising for the ward my dad was on .
take care ,

Hi Court!
I type in the search box `vaccine for bowel cancer` and it brought up `Trial of VorTrax For Bowel Cancer` and it's got the link underneath for the Cancer Research Uk website and you go on there and it tells you about it. Don't know how old it is but it says phase 1/2. Talks about trialing people with metastatic bowel cancers.
