I'm going onto maintenance chemo cetuximab and 5fu pump.just finished folfori had good scan results so oncologist has changed me to maintenance.
Any advice on cetuximab and 5 fu regime.
Is cetuximab a chemo?
I was a bit concerned he had dropped the folfori I'm hoping it doesn't come back with a vengeance.
Hi PattyK
I've found 5FU on a high dose is no plain sailing but i've tried to make various expectation and lifestyle adjustments to make it bearable - so i'm buttoning down hatches and counting down cycles.
And Oncology team can adjust dose too if i ever want them to.
My goal is ride the tough seas to rid the cancer
Thanks Crumpets!
Jay goes back to see the oncologist this Thursday. There is talk he'll need a nephostromy or stent fitted for his kidneys because of the spread to his pelvis they're concerned the kidneys could get blocked. He's been weeing ok and those water tablets he got sent home with certainly worked. I'm assuming they will do what they need to do with regards to the kidneys and then resume his chemotherapy or whatever they decide for him don't know if he'll go back on CAPOX or not. Thanks for the info.
