I should have had my 3rd round of Folfox today but my bloods showed my blood count was too low. They took blood today, thinking it would be higher than 2 days ago, but it was actually lower.
I've been sent home with 3 days worth of injections to administer myself. Then hopefully I will be back up to the hospital next Thursday.
I feel deflated and wondered if anyone else had experienced the same in early weeks of treatment?

Hello Net77'
Thank you for telling me that, it is mind blowing when everyone has such a different experience. Mine comes out when I brush or comb my hair and I also have fine hair. Surprised that it continued after chemo treatment had finished. Any sign of it recovering? Did you get a wig?
So hope it grows back thicker and stronger for you and soon!
Best wishes

Hi Catsski.
I'm surprised it's still coming out too, chemo nurse said it usually stops after 3 weeks after last chemotherapy - still it could be worse! I'm hoping it grows back thick too. I do have some new growth but like baby hair, hence thinking of shaving but I haven't summoned up the courage yet. Yes I've got a wig and is quite a revelation wearing it as it feels so thick, also no bad hair days!
Take Care.

Hello Nett77,
I like the idea of no bad hair days! I am using baby shampoo as suggested but I look like Wurzle Gummidge as there is no life in my hair. It is like straw!
At least you have some new hair growth now , that is encouraging and it will hopefully get better and better. You will look gorgeous!
All the best

Hello Katz51,
I do not think I could manage washing my hair only once a week. I think I'll just have to get a bag and put it over my head! I have such fine hair anyway that it requires washing everyday just to make it look decent. But thank you for your reply.
Best wishes

I dont know if I am allowed to name products on here but I also used a shampoo and condition begining with W.It was recommended by a lady also having chemo.
