hi ,yes understanding is that if the join is not quite right then they will do a stoma so that you have a chance to heel . I signed my paperwork that says open/ keyhole so I’m prepared that he will try keyhole but may need to do open . Yes it has made it easier now I have a date . Certainly this week it is on my mind a lot . I think I can tell from my histology report from the Polyp removal that I might well need chemo as when they removed the 2.3cm polyp there was mention of invasion .I sort of expect the worse , plan for the worse . I find it easier to deal with when I know all the different scenarios. I think if there is lymph node or blood vessels involved chemo is always used . Out of interest where are you? I wonder if anyone else has had experience at your local hospital?
Hi Takayasu I’m from Yorkshire. I’ve read in our local paper that covid cases in hospitals are down so fingers crossed. Most people I’ve read about have the constant going to toilet 10 times a day. I like you have he opposite problem of constipation but always feel like I need to go. The papers I signed say open surgery with possible stoma. I too plan for the worse in every situation. I 100% knew before my colonoscopy that they would find a tumour, so unfortunately it was no surprise, although the reality hit me like a ton of bricks.
