Hi all,
Haven't been on in a very long while. I hope everyone is doing as well as they can - and positive thoughts for everything.. everyone is going through.
- I just wondered if anyone had experienced a cystoscopy and seen 'slough' shedded material in their bladder. I didn't have a particularly forthcoming consultant...who didn't really explain it. This was my second cystocopy - it came back clear of tumours thankfully...but did have some red patches... so a cytology was taken - and fingers crossed it comes back negative..
Anyway...any insights appreciated. I've looked it up and obviously can see it's shedding of lining?? - but does it just eventually get passed out of the bladder??!
Big thanks Xx
Neo is tough at first, 'training' to use it & stretch it to a good size - all while recovering from the surgery itself. The surgery has more potential complications & possible long term effects. Having said that, I am very happy with mine. The one downside for me is having to get up every night to empty - I hate using an alarm & rely on sensation, so have to wear a pad in case of leaks. Daytime is no problem & I can predict roughly when I will need to empty according to time of day & intake. Females particularly have a chance of needing to self catheterise to fully empty. I do this, but it doesn't bother me at all. If you do get to that point of making a decision, happy to answer any questions.
