Hello,my wife was diagnosed with bowel cancer about a month ago.Unfortunately it's inoperable because of past complications and she is not suitable for chemotherapy. She wants to stop at home for as long as possible but I don't know what to expect.
I'm sad ,anxious and can't sleep properly. She is 47 years old and we have three teenagers.
Hi and welcome to the online community
I'm really sorry to hear about your wife's recent diagnosis. It must be very hard for you all.
Could I suggest that you join the bowel cancer group where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support from others with this type of cancer. You might also like to join the carers only group which is a safe and supportive place to share your worries and emotions.
To join either or both of these groups just click on the links I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the pages that open. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you feel up to it, it would be really useful if could pop something about your wife's journey into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Sending a supportive ((hug))
