My uncle has stage 4 cancer which he has been fighting for over 5 years & is presently at home & bedridden. His last wish is to visit his wife of over 50 years, who is in a nursing home and is not mobile. Until my Uncle was admitted to hospital he visited her every day. I am the patients nephew, his son is his carer . The son has been waiting for an 'assessment' from the doctor for many weeks with a view to arranging the visit to his wife. I visited yesterday and believe that we cannot wait. Does anybody have experience of arranging & transporting a patient privately.
Hello , welcome to the online community, I’m sorry to hear about your dilemma to reunite your uncle and aunt. I have no personal experience that will help in arranging this but I’m hoping I can put my thinking cap on to try and find the best places to give you a fair try.
I’m hoping by reposting in the friends and family group that perhaps someone will have come across what you need to do although I’m not sure, here is a link to the group.

Hi. I cannot thank you enough for informing me about the Ambulance Wish.
After submitting our wish the visit took place on monday & has bought much joy to my Uncle, Aunt & all the family.
The visit was in fact filmed by the BBC & shown on the lunchtime news on monday!
Thank you once again.
Kind Regards
John (cousin)
