Hi I am having a terrible reaction to the ibandronic acid my throat is burning can’t swallow can’t eat I told the oncologists she told me to go to the doctors and get monthly supply or weekly supply so I can just take it once every four weeks or once every week I haven’t took it for two days now and the burning sensation in my throat is getting worse but the doctors don’t seem to be much bothered about it but it’s bothering me it’s making my life impossible I can’t eat because I can’t swallow I’ve lost about 3/4 of a stone I really don’t know what to do she says I’ve got to take that the next three years if I can’t swallow to eat I’ll be killed by starvation more than a cancer
Hi Gina welcome to the online community and I'm sorry to hear your having trouble with your medication as we are not medically trained I can only suggest that you persevere with the medical professional on this as they should be listening to your concerns on the side effects you are experiencing
It maybe that another member will have taken this drug and can advise how they overcame the side effect.
