Had a kidney removed five and a half years ago. Contained a 10cm, slow growing tumor. Adrenal gland also removed. (Radical Nephrectomy?) All checks fine until June last year when the CT scan revealed a spot on my spleen,. Splenectomy in October and follow up CT Scan in January. Spleen showed renal cancer cells; CT scan revealed tumor on pelvis and spots on the liver.
Had Radiotherapy 3 weeks ago on the pelvis. No side effects.
Saw the Oncologist yesterday. Starting me on Sunitinib next Tuesday.
Anyone else with similar experience?

Hi and welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to read that after being clear of cancer for over 5 years a CT scan has revealed a tumour on your pelvis and spots on your liver.
Could I point you towards the kidney cancer group so that you can post your question there. To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then respond to existing posts by clicking on 'reply' and start your own by selecting 'start a discussion'.
When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile, as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
