Hello

I’ve just started this journey and absolutely terrified. I was recalled after my routine mammogram and have since been told I have breast cancer with lymph node involvement so need a CT & bone scan to see if further spread. I haven’t felt quite right since the summer but put it down to work related tiredness - now I have a very bad feeling about this. How can this be happening to me??

I’ve not slept properly since the recall and my mind is going to very dark places. It all feels surreal. I’ve just told my children which was the worst day of my life. I am single and could not feel more alone in the world right now.

  • Hi

I am sorry you are going through this. In my experience waiting for scans and results is the worst part of the process. It’s much easier once you know what you are facing and start treatment. It’s good they are checking you thoroughly. I hope it’s not as bad as you fear.
