Hello, I am looking for support on how to cope with watching my adult child with terminal cancer. If I could connect with someone in a similar situation to share our feelings. How on earth do we cope just watching them suffer?
Hello again Sunflowerz
We talked a couple of years ago about our sons with terminal cancer. You sent me this lovely picture of spring flowers. I want you to know that it inspired me to plant a garden of spring flowers in memory of my son. It reminds me of you and your son too.
It is right in front of my kitchen window so I can see the flowers every day when I have my morning tea. They flower at the time of year he was ill and died and cheer me up at what is always a sad time of year for me.
I hope you are as well as can be expected, and that your son's cancer did not turn out to have a genetic cause which could affect your other son. All my love. Rebecca
I'm so sorry Lucy. I went through something similar nearly 6 years ago now, when my 40 year old son was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer and given 2 to 5 months. He survived for 3. I felt so helpless. I tried to make the time he had left as pleasant and enjoyable as was possible under the circumstances. I am troubled now that I forgot to make a recording of his voice. You will need all the strength you can muster. Rebecca
