Hi

I'm new to this and I'm a little lost.

I'm the daughter by the way and it's my mother who is on the Rollercoaster ride.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer in January of this year and she is 70.she has had a mastectomy and also removed lymph nodes on the right side.

She has had chemo and radiotherapy and came through it very strongly to our amazement. She has also been given hormone blockers for 5 years.

Our problem is that she is now experiencing very low episodes over the last week.she's is such a strong women and I've never seen her like this.she is very teary and crying a lot but can't seem to explain her feelings.she's not in any pain but but is very low.

We have been to see consultant but don't feel we got any real advice on what to do.

Has anyone got any experience on this or any advice on what we should do next.

Any advice would be great fully received

Thank on advance

Kay

  • Hi @kaypeep76, You might want to call the helpline on 0808 808 0000, 8am to 8pm, 7'days a week. They can support u on the phone and also give u details of any Maggie's or Macmillan centres nearby where u can talk to someone face to face.

You could also repost your original question  in the Breast cancer group

Fear of the unknown is the worst thing. Once we know what we're facing, we find the strength to deal with it.
