Firstly I feel like a fraud posting on a site like this as people really are I'll and have cancer.

I am here because Iam concerned and need some advice and assistance please, I am a 38year old woman.

I've had anal bleeding for 2years app, this was investigated and found to have " juicy haemorrhoids"  I had these banded and removed last July. The bleeding continued and still does to this day, I also have an anal " skin tag"  but my concerns now are an area just above my rectum which is like a pea sized lump, this was presented to my GP last November as it was leaking with pus, blood and liquid which really irritated my bum cheeks. I have a really urgency to go to the toilet and must go around 5+ times daily.

My doctor eventually referred me to see a colorectal surgeon in Jan of this year but so far no appointments have come through.

I've used every cream and gel to try and relieve the pain, itchiness and discomfort from this lump. It has grown significantly since the doctor last seen it at the start of the year and now has a white patch over it, this fills up with pus and I have to go to the toilet just to wipe the discharge away several times daily.

I have had diarrhea since the 24th July constantly until now and just feel my GP doesn't care, these hospital appointments take a while is all they say but never looked at the area again.

I had a serious infection for 3 months this year in another area but had powerful anti biotics. The anal lump never changed or went away during this period which makes me think it's not an abscess.

I have made another appointment to see my doctor in 2 days.

Am I being a hypochondriac or does it sound sinister?

Many thanks for taking the time listening to my post.

    Hi again

I'm pleased to see that you've got movement on your appointment hopefully the appointment you will be given will be soon after the date given for the appointment letter to come out, keep a diary note and keep checking on it and phone if you've not received the letter in the time quoted.

If the hot water bottle doesn't work try a warm bath and if the pain or the bloating still persists do phone NHS111 and speak to the on call doctor for advice, have a note of your symptoms and how long you have had the symptoms in front of you and see what they suggest. It could well be stress but you don't know so it's best to ask a medic.

In your reply to  you mention that it's quite private and you can't discuss express your issues openly please don't think that way everything we discuss is private and personal to each member and it's only by discussing it on here are we able to help each other and solve problems, always remember that it is possible that someone on here has gone through exactly what you are feeling and going through and will gladly share their experiences with you and really no question is that silly that it can't be asked please do share over in the Anal cancer forum group anything that's concerning you, there is no need to be shy we are all friends over there and are extremely supportive of each other.

You are also able to (Missing Group) questions and Sanjay will give you advice based on the information you give him, although he wont be able to give you a diagnosis but he is very helpful and very friendly.

I hope you feel better soon, all this waiting around for appointments does not help us as we start to have negative thoughts that stresses us out.

Please keep taking to us, we are here to help with everything we can - Your are not alone on this journey you've got the Mac family behind you all the way.

    Hi Ian

    Thankyou again for your loveliness

I didn't mean shy on here, I don't mind that tbh. I mean in " real life" talking to  my boss/ colleague about just how painful It was today or that I had chronic diarrhea or maybe a family member. I just don't like going into the nitty gritty with them. Prob because it's my bum whereas if it was my arm I was having bother with it wouldn't be an issue y' know.

Who wants to tell their partner they have to change their underwear as you've leaked again on them? Iam 38 and feel much older right now.

Hot water bottle has helped ease things but I will contact out of hours of the pain gets as bad again. No work tmro so Iam going to rest up.

Away to bed now and hopefully switch my brain off.

    Goodnight and thanks x

    Hi

It's not the best topic of  conversation to have round the coffee machine at anytime but it is nothing to be ashamed of, ask any of my friends in the stoma support group we spend most of our day talking poo and we can be very explicit about it.

Hopefully after a good nights sleep everything will have settled down and you can have a restful Sunday.

If you need a chat at anytime I'm always about just give me a shout.
