Trying to get specialist travel insurance so I can visit family abroad as this will more than likely be my last Xmas with them is driving me nuts. I got quoted £1,300 for myself and the wife just fo a 6 day trip!!!!!

Anyone know of a good insurer to look at?

  • Boots were fine for me. I am sure others have some recommendations. Best of luck

Look in the “Travel Insurance” group on this site. You will find a list of companies that we have found helpful. Macmillan are not able to recommend companies but as users we are...

Personally I use insurancewith.com, I suggest you phone them so you can clarify any questions

    Good luck

    Hi smudge

i used forces pension society 02078209988

you have to be or have been in forces ,or your parents or spouse ,i noticed you were in forces

your gp or consultant has to agree you are fit to travel and not terminal [whatever they class that as ]

i have secondary breast cancer, osteoporosis, have had blood clots but was covered as dad and dad in law in forces and consultant said i could travel ,we went on a cruise ,wasn’t too expensive ,considering my diagnosis ,annual policy for me and oh was 374 , worldwide ,

one of my friends used them ,had a claim and they paid out

    hope they can help you

    Hi smudge

I am on MST and use MIA Online. Had to phone rather than complete on line but reasonable.

    Good luck
