Hi

I was diagnosed with secondary bone cancer in January. After having a diagnosis of breast cancer and a mastectomy in October/November last year.

I am now taking Ribociclib, letrozole, zoladex injections and starting denosumab Injections next month.

I have been off sick for 6 months. I work in a hospice as a clinical administrator. I am unsure if and when I am going back

I am 48 years old, so still got alot of work life left in me yet.

I have a 12 year old son, been starting to make memories with him

  • Hi Sparkles

    Welcome and big hugs.
I was given incurable diagnosis last year November at the age of 48 too. I am lucky enough to able to retire from work. I was a dentist and can’t really carry on due the physical and mental demand of the job. I do miss my patients some I know for over 20 years. I am also started doing more with my garden this year.
People Here are so supportive here and give me a sense of normality rather than just a cancer patient .

Take care and talk to you soon.

  • Hi Sparkles, glad you joined the group.  I told you what a great bunch the guys on here were and now you can see from all the warm welcomes.  I hope you find as much help and encouragement on here as I do.  Hugs x

  • A warm welcome from me too! Sounds like your treatment is well underway. Hopefully you will soon benefit from it and be able to lead as normal a life as possible. We are all here for support should you want and need it.
