My next scan is next week, but it is the first by the NHS (have been using company health insurance but am soon retiring). Big difference - private you have the scan and then get the results in less than a week. On the NHS I have been informed that it may take up to a month to get results. Never mind, will soon get used to it.

Good luck John Boy. Usually you can continue co cover privately so long as there is no gap if thats what youre after

  • Hi Sylvia, just checking in, hope the scan went well. Fingers crossed for a speedy result for you.

My oncologist chatted to me like we are old friends and I didnt need to ask, he has arranged a full body MRI and blood testswith a view to having radiotherapy blast on the spine mets.

Reading some posts here, I realise I am so lucky to have Dr Miles on my team, he is just brilliant. I never worry what next as he always explains to prevent anxiety.

That’s brilliant news Julie, I’m so pleased for you. Mine was mixed as the pleura has progressed albeit the kidney is stable and the lung stable ish leading to a fresh prognosis which as I sit here today, I plan to beat :-)

    Good to hear from you

    Sylvia x
