It is with great sadness that I have to tell you all that our dear friend Ellie passed away last Thursday 27th November, with her loved ones at her side.
Ellie was such a good friend to so many people on the forum, and I know she will missed by so many.
Ellie was a very strong independent lady, who never held back with her own opinions. She told me off on more than one occasion, but once she said her piece we were friends again. She never held a grudge.
I have known Ellie for about 9 years, we were in the lung group together and both joined the incurables about the same time. Ellie was one of the first people to be given immunotherapy for lung cancer, and it really was a miracle for her as the chemo did not work. She had just finished her immunotherapy when sadly her husband was also diagnosed with cancer and passed away. It was in the same hospice where sadly Ellie said her final goodbye.
If anyone would like the funeral details then please do send me a private message.
Rest in peace Ellie. Thank you for all the support you have given so many on the forum.
I shall end this as Ellie would with one of her sayings.
It’s not over until the fat lady sings.
Donna it is lovely to see your name pop up, although under these sad circumstances. X
