Hi
I think normally Ellie request this thread to start on the 1st day of the new month. I am not sure how to request it, so just started one myself, hope it is OK.
Evening Stella, I am currently tucked up on my recliner with a hot cup of fruit tea. Got an awful cold and feel horrid with it. We enjoyed our turkey with red cabbage, pancetta sprouts and broccoli and my turkey stuffing of raisins and apples. Mind can’t say I am hungry at all now since the cold pounced on me. Hope your feel better soon and that Winston will be a model cat for the next few days. Sending you all a big warm hug and a special one from Lilly to Winston.

Good evening all, I must say I did not take this Christmas for granted and enjoyed it all the more for that. We'll see what the new year has to offer. Aside from the minor sniffles and sneezes that winter inevitably brings, maybe I can actually get to see some real snow this time round. Childhood revisited, snowman with the grandkids.
I wish you all a very happy new year filled with as many happy moments (however fleeting) that you can fit in.

Hello Friends
I had some friends over last night for some Korean food and I also purchased some fireworks too.
The food went really well. Then onto the fireworks. I have bought some rockets to fire. Have never used them before, Craig and I stuck them into the garden soil. However, when Craig lit the fuse, the rocket failed to take off and exploded where it was stuck to. It was a VERY loud bang! While it was not dangerous it was certainly a bit of shock and poor Winston was very upset!
We figured out we suppose to stuck the rocket to a plastic tube loosely , then the plastic tube was inserted to the ground. It all went fine after that. Overall pretty fun thing to do but poor Winston was upset the whole evening. He was find today and was compensated with some extra treats.
Hope everyone has a happy new year and start with a bang like mine LOL xx
Good afternoon to you all
Oh Stella, glad Winston is fine today again. How lovely you enjoyed your friends company yesterday. By the sounds you cooked a very tasty meal. Are you having a quiet evening today or will you be out celebrating?
iI am still not great, so have a cosy evening with Lilly and a book. Got all my Christmas decorations put away for another year (always do that on Hogmanay) Laura came over to give me a hand and to give the place a good hoovering and mopping. Nowadays I don’t celebrate Hogmanay anymore so just another evening to chill out. Can’t say I am looking forward to the wind and snow coming in this evening. Fingers crossed the Met Office got this one wrong and it won’t be as severe as predicted.
Sending to all of you and your loved ones a big cuddly hug and wishes for a great start to 2026. See you next year

You have a happy new year too Stella, and I look forward to your friendship and support well into the future
