Good morning all everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for May. If you would like to catch up on April's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment.
Eddie, all of those tributes are beautiful. You are so talented. I know they will be well received.
I see that Ulls' favourite football team, Sunderland, were promoted to The Premier League last week. What a pity that he didn't live to see that. He would have been so proud.
However, I am sure he will be watching over them from above.
Helen
Hi Ellie, great news about your scan results.
My next scan is the 11th of June.
I am a bit apprehensive about it as there was a slight blip in the last one for the first time.
Whatever happens, I can't change it now.
I hope you had a glass of wine to celebrate.
Helen
Hi Helen
I had a blip three months ago, had not been on any treatment for the lung cancer, since 2021, I was started on Target Therapy , its has given me lots of side effects, though dose has been reduced, happy days, and my tumours in the lungs had shrunk so was worth it.
I always like to know what the plan might be, if there is a problems.
I have the same attitude as you, had the scans thats my part done, and what ever the scan shows, what's the next port of cal.
Its a hard journey we all are on, and as long as the journey keeps going, we will travel it.
Fingers will be crossed for you.
Hi Helen, thank you for your lovely post regarding Ulls, and it was a pleasure to make the cards for our friend, who loved his hometown team, his best friend on the prostate forum, which I am on, is a Newcastle fan, and shared lots of banter, but always in a fun way.
How are things with you, my friend, I know your due a scan on the 11th, and as everyone who's been on this journey for some time will say, blips are to be expected, and your attitude is the only way to be, but best wishes anyway m

Hi Helen
I had my scan booked in for 9th of June. So we can both hold hands for them. I just hope for a stable scan so I can go on my safari in Zambia.
Ellie so happy for your good scan results
Eddie hope your new med is working its magic. Your cards and teddy are wonderful. I am sure Ulls would love them. Thank you for going to and representing us.
I have not done much just laying low. Got some roses from the garden before more rain bashing them. They do smell divine.
Thank you Patrick. How are you doing since your recent immunotherapy? Hope the side effects are not too bad ..
Since I am not working and paying tax any more. I have been contributing towards economy by constant shopping. ️ How is Mrs Patrick? Is she on the same page as me
Hi Stella, I've only been on the new meds a couple of days, so a little early to know if there working, so like you I'm being careful as the meds also contain a laxative, I will know Monday if I'm ok for Greece, and it's my pleasure to represent you guys

Chelle, so sorry to hear about the migraines they can be so debilitating hope they dissappear soon!
I can’t believe it is almost JUNE! I’ve got to the stage now, if I miss reading the Daily Chat thread for a few days, I don’t bother trying to catch up. I just start reading from then onwards! It makes it much easier! Have a great weekend everyone!
