Good morning all everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for May. If you would like to catch up on April's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment.
Sorry you are having a difficult time in recent weeks Angie. But glad to hear your blood has improved and you are able to have chemo tomorrow.
I am sure Lily is there to keep you good company like Winston to me and Craig. X
Hiya Stella, Winston and Craig. Thanks for your message it’s much valued. Yes I am starting to get on top of things again. Just gave myself a good kick in the unmentionable . Got a bit of a surprise when I went into the Village earlier and actually bumped into my ex husband. He had been dropping something of at our daughters. We actually ended up having a coffee and a chat. Not bad going after 20 years of vigorously ignoring each other. I must be getting mellow with old age
. Hope you mum is doing ok and enjoy and thst Winston is not huffing. Lilly is outside for a bit keeping an eye on the movie population I suppose. Colder here today so the log burner will be put on shortly. I do like my creature comforts. Have a cosy evening you 3
love Angie and Lilly xxx
Morning everyone
The last dry and sunny here today of the recent spell of good weather
Our one night away was lovely- nice to be pampered in a hotel
My son is here now for the weekend ️
I hope you enjoy Chelsea Flower Show Stella2020 I went a few years ago - loved it
At my mindfulness course yesterday at Maggie’s we have started focusing on pain , both physical and emotional, fascinating how the mind works and how we can work towards “dialing pain down” - it’s such a good course
Hope everyone manages to feel as positive as possible over the weekend
Lots of love
Lucy xx
Good morning, glad you enjoyed your night away Lucy, it is good to be pampered. Do you they do the mindfulness course online or is it face to face. My nearest Maggies is in Coventry which is too far. I also wanted to say good luck to your Mom today Stella and enjoy the flower show. Hope everyone has a good day and good luck with results etc. Good luck today with treatment Angie.

Hi Lucy, it's good to hear the nice times you are having, it's lovely you got away, to be somewhere else, even if it's for a few hours a day or longer is good for the mind, and you have your son visiting as well, fab, and I'm glad your finding the Mindfulness course so helpful, as you say it's fascinating and extremely helpful to understand what we are experiencing and how we can manage it better, have a wonderful weekend my friend.
Sheila and Lesley, my kids mum and I are visiting our son/family for the weekend, a very last minute decision, but so looking forward to seeing the twins again,"their only 4 months old," first it's hospital today and therapy, then we can be off.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
