I realised I needed reading glasses for close work when I couldn't thread needles anymore! That was back in my forties. You're right Ellie, time does seem to be going faster as I get older....my forties feels like only yesterday!
Well done for managing to thread your needle using only one eye. Do you know if or when you'll get the other one sorted?
Kate
Glad its not just me.
They did phone up last week, to book second eye in i had to postpone it.
I was told i have macular degeneration as well, and as one eye is what they call wet, I had to start on a treatment programme, an injection in the eye, had first one and to have another four, before operation can be done.
Trust me, have second injection, 11th Sep another day out lol
Hi Ellie
I have been busy today, going for my 3 monthly scan, and then a visit to the drop-in centre at the hospital for some reflexology and massage. Felt very tired when I got back, so had an afternoon nap!
My mum has injections in her eye for the MD, so does a friend of mine. In both cases, it has worked for them. The joys of getting older! At least they can do more about some of these health problems now. I don't think my grandparents were so lucky!
Hope you've had a restful afternoon.
Kate
Good for you, get it under ones belt. have mine next week.
Yes a lot of people have MD , though I can still, have the cataract done, so pleased regarding that.
No wonder you was tired, massage and reflexology does that, I was the same when I had reiki, though was worth it.
Yes, I was surprised how tired I felt afterwards, but it was a 'nice' tired, not an exhausted feeling.
I'm feeling fine now!
Not looking forward to tomorrow though....my electric company are insisting on changing my economy 7 meter to a new smart meter, and should turn up to do it between 11 and 3. I have a feeling it will not go according to plan!
I will be reading my 'usual' meter in the morning, so I have accurate figures before it's taken out.
It's been a busy week so far, but nothing planned after tomorrow.
Hope your week goes well!
Kate
