Hi all, all that loud thunder and heavy rain woke me up last night. It was horrendous! Still I went back off to sleep so don’t know how long it lasted. Jimmy barked but soon shut up when I told him to. Just looks very wet out there this morning although it’s not raining any more. There is more forecast for later though! No hosepipe bans mentioned any more, but not sure if they have actually lifted them.
I almost got scammed by someone claiming to be DPD, I was actually expecting a parcel on the date they mentioned, so it was a close thing! I just remembered hearing stuff about it in the past and double checked on the proper website, and of course there was nothing there. I had already decided that if it was real I would refuse the delivery and get it elsewhere. It is so easy to get scammed, they are very clever people and you can get taken in so easily.
Yesterday I got ANOTHER call from Microsoft. It’s another scam I know. This time instead of saying I would pass them to the IT department, I said ‘what makes you think I have a computer’ . Shock, horror, don’t you have a computer? They put the phone down! I get a bit fed up of them to be quite honest, They seem to try it on so often, and it’s the same number every time.

Hi Ulls, yes I did. Thanks for that though. My youngest son has sort of drilled it into me now. He told me how to report the text scams as well, and if I say I have had one he always asks if I have reported it. We do all that but they still go on. My favourite one is ‘I hear you have had an accident’. I have asked how much they are paid to lie! That ends the conversation quickly too.
