I thought I would ask you all to compile your own list of 10 favourite pieces of music. I'm still doing this - it's harder than you think - but I will post mine when I've done it. Get your thinking caps on. They can be popular or classical or a mix. Go for it folks.  Rainie x

It took a while and it's likely not conclusive, but there you go... In no particular order either!

1 Hotel California -   Eagles

2. Take it to the Limit - Eagles

3.American Pie - Don McClean

4. The Boys of Summer - Don Henley

5. Cowgirl in the Sand - Neil Young

6. Drive - The Cars

7. A case of You - Joni Mitchell

8. Like I've never been Gone -  Robert Plant

10. Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin

  • It is hard, I will have a go, this thread may be a slow burner!

    Sarah

  • You may be right Sal. Hope the process brings back some nice memories too. Hope all is OK with you. Rainie x

  • I would not call myself a music fan but I would choose much the same as you Rainie, spooky eh?

I've always been told Ive got no taste, this must prove the doubters wrong.

(Unless it proves you have no taste either, that could never be possible)

Ellie 73 was a singer, she will almost certainly have a favourite which she will probably dedicate to me.

  • Hi Rainie, just read this thread, I'll put a list on tomorrow it will be hard as I am quite eclectic with music.

  • It's funny isn't it that you can tell people's ages from their choices. So far we are all from the same era. Some are pretending to be younger by saying they don't recognise the songs ... Sal.

  • My parents would have said I had no taste, to them, it was all a 'racket'  - as in 'turn that racket off'!!  Ring a bell? Rainie x
