Art for art's sake

I was wondering if anyone feels they might benefit from being part of an art group specifically for those here. I'm an artist, though I have to admit to you that I've produced absolutely nothing for ages due to being ill and in hospital, not having anywhere to exhibit for aeons and generally being extremely knackered out most of the time. But then I started thinking maybe I could do something positive about it. I've worked within what's called the 'Arts in Health' sphere and done a lot with things like colour therapy. I'd also like to say that you don't have to be rich to make art. I've done a whole exhibition made from recycled materials. It's all about taking yourself to another place for a while and having a bit of messy fun. No judgemental rubbish or anything like that. And if you don't think you're able to draw anything that looks remotely like what it's supposed to look like, well, that doesn't matter either. I think that maybe for starters you might like to message me if you are interested and then I'll try and work out a little programme. Just for us. Let me know what you think. Rainy X

  • I have over 100ft of Castlewellan Gold hedging and it amazes me how many cobwebs appear some mornings and how beautiful they look.

  • We managed to have a lovely break away on a beach for 6 days - and chose the best week to do it too - so home now and feeling very tired, but it's a nice sort of tired if you know what I mean. I'm happy to be exhausted by getting onto a beach every day - any time. Also had my computer in dry dock whilst we were away and it's now back and supposed to be functioning more speedily having had a 'clean' - not the sort you do with a wet wipe.

So here's a little beach inspiration to maybe get you thinking about doing my art project ' Sea & Sky' which I can send out to anybody who asks, friends me and gives me their e-mail. There are 3 little FREE projects I can send you - you just have to ask and you don't need to have any artistic experience or bent whatsoever - you just might like to try using artistic means to give yourself a little escape from stress or lift your spirits by playing about with lovely colors.  Hope you are all doing OK.  Rainie x

I love the sea. We enjoyed being I. It in Greece. I also enjoy Wales and Cornwall. We had several holidays in Pembrokeshire and go to Cornwall every year. Hope to get to Cornwall again this year the dog loves it on the beach x
