Hello,

Anyone had the AZ vaccine yet?  If yes, how were you for the first couple of weeks?  I am due mine next week so interested to hear others experience.

  • Yes I had it in Monday it was fine. I was a bit tired and a headaches the next day. My husband had a sore arm. I am so pleased we have had it .

    best wishes

  • I had mine a few weeks ago. Slight sore arm and general achiness the next day, similar to my usual reaction to the flu vaccination. I don't remember a headache. I was pleased to have it.

  • Hi ,

I had my jab last Wednesday.  I don't normally react to my regular b12 injections or the flu vaccine and I haven't reacted to this either.  No sore arm, no headache or other side effects.  I guess I'm lucky when it comes to jabs.

  • Had mine nearly 3 weeks ago. Felt fine on the day of jab, but had to snooze all day the next day - felt absolutely fatigued. Fine again after another nights sleep though, and been fine since.

Wow! Brilliant re few side effects. Were you told when you’d receive the second jab?  I read up to 90 days.

Pleased to hear that. I haven’t received a vaccination in decades. Last on was typhoid and I was pretty ill with that. I appreciate the reply.

Thank you for letting me know. Just wasn’t sure how it would be with a weakened immune system.

  • I've looked in the notebook I use to keep track of symptoms and I did get a headache afterwards. I had the jab on day 12/21 of my chemo cycle, ideally they would have liked me to have it during my week off (15 to 21), but it seems to have worked out fine.

My wife, La Norbette, thanks SiT, has MS  and had the Pfizer one a week ago and is still suffering so I think the AZ version is the way to go if your immune is not immune, so to speak!
