I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

So

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

    Great newsHeart

  • Hi everyone thanks for your kind words, lovely tulips, I've been to the botanical gardens a few times when I go back to Scotland.

Not sure about park running, I get short of breath just walking the half mile to the local shopping centre.

  • Lovely news Richard x

    Sarah

  • I have returned to my lovely online family . I have good things to report:

    1. Managed to complete a month-long arts course. Painted every morning and sat down every afternoon. Enjoyed it all.

    2. Had a little 6-day beach break with my husband and enjoyed walking by the shore every morning, beachcombing, breathing in the lovely salt air, watching seals and largely having the whole beach to ourselves. So came home with a nice sort of exhaustion.

3.Sat in the garden, which is blooming. Sunshine, birds nest building and feeding chicks [can hear chicks in the hedge]. It was all lovely and serene for over an hour. Then the US Air Force turned up and we had to go in because of the awful racket - but we can't have everything.

I see that some of you have had a few setbacks whilst I've not been posting, so I send you all my good wishes and hope that you are all soon posting your three good things on here. Big hugs to you all.  Rainie xxx

  • Hi Rainie, sorry about the late response, your holiday sounds really good, it's a great shame about the U S plains, I thought I was poorly of being under the approach to Newcastle airport.

  • Hello Ulls, I do commiserate with you being in the vicinity of an airport. I lived near Heathrow for a spell and it was dreadful. We could see the rivets in the undercarriage when they went over. They went over every 3 mins.!  Take care. Rainie x
