I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

So

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

That is quite something. I have just watered the two that came with the house. Three flowers on each!

  • That one has been there quite some time but yours will take off and they look lovely all year as they're so graceful.  Rainie x

  • My three good things were on Thursday. [been recovering since! Ha.]

1.Went out for the day with an artist friend and took a picnic lunch.

    2. Walked on heathland, atop the dyke over the reed beds, and after lunch a beach comb meandering along with her dogs and hunting for interesting bits. Took lots of photos.

    3. Pleasantly exhausted, but slept well which was a big bonus.

And an extra one : got weekend meals delivered as a treat from a restaurant delivery so no cooking over the weekend. Yay!

All the very best to everyone.

Utter luxury, every minute! You are the forum oligarch!

  • Three good things that have happened since yesterday:

Put some bedding plants in and turned over the soil in the bulb bed. Until October last year I'd lived in a flat for the previous 27 years so this gardening malarkey is amazing! I love pottering about.

I walked my local parkrun this morning, the 3rd time I've done that. And improved my time by 8 minutes! Just glad there's no drug testing at parkrun, the steroid tablets I took this morning may have helped Joy

I went into town after that with no jacket on!!! It's beautiful weather here today.

I think we have fixed you Christine, that didn't take us long!

Plenty of gardeners here including Master Gardener Tvman.

We will need photographic evidence of any flowers or produce!

  • Thank you Ted, I've been called many things but never Master gardeners although it's true that I have a wealth of knowledge, especially when vegetables are concerned.

, that's a truly magnificent magnolia specimen. I pruned ours last winter because it's outside the living room window. We have a fantastic display of blooms also, must be a good year, and the aroma! Superb!

There's a great bloom on the 2 camelias also.

I've spent the afternoon working in my veg plot in the most beautiful day, lots of heat and blue sky everywhere. Sitting down to watch the football now. Back is burning! Pain unbelievable.

Take care and stay safe everyone

    Tvman xx
