I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

If you can afford it a holiday and change is scene is always good.

Getting through to Eon can seem like a minor miracle in itself! My teeth have lost several millimeters of enamel waiting for the b*gg**s to pick up. Rainie x

Lovely. I spent some time painting at Crakington Haven which isn't far from Bude, and is a lovely little cove. Have a lovely break. Take your paints maybe....? Rainie x

I thought I'd pitch in with my three things:

1. After two years of cancer and only going into my studio to clear stuff out to sell it, I know, after two weeks on my art course, that I can still paint. It's a sort of liberation.

2. Made a stonkingly good curry to celebrate feeling the 'lift' again [see above].

3. People came when they said they were going to come [result!] and we now have a garden tidied and pruned ready for winter and the solar panels, Velux and windows and gutters etc etc. all cleaned and gleaming. Can see out the windows!

Love the house thanks Ruth, nearly unpacked the boxes but just moving things from one room to another at the moment. Fancy a break early next year with luck.
