hi I’m starting my palliative chemo on the 6th of April. What am I to expect? We are moving houses and don’t have a single furniture. What should I be ready with? Anything in particular that I would need like face towels etc. I need to be ready please your suggestions would be appreciated as I will be confined to my bedroom after chemo starts.
Thanks in advance and keep safe all

Hello again,
my palliative chemo takes 3-4 hrs and runs just as says. The main difference at the moment is there’s no relatives, tea trolley or sandwich trolley. The nurses only stay in the room while they’re delivering care, but will make drinks if they have time.
xx
Hi AnaC-C
I have recital cancer too with various mets.
I am currently on Folfiri, just had round 3 of 12. This one takes around 3.5 hours in day unit from walking in the door to leaving the hospital.
My previous chemo treatment for chemo was Xelox which took a little longer, nearer 4.5 hours.
Water, some minty sweets and something to read are my companions.
Good luck with it all.
