This is the start of a new journey for me and my much loved friends from the original Oesophegus thread on general discussions.
We have become a close group and this will be our new home to continue our journey as life has become very hard for many of us and we keep re-living our journeys with lots of newbies which puts us all back a bit.
So my lovely friends Mel, Sam, Helen, Bern, Jac, Nic, Dawn, Sue, Cath, Lesley, Jani and the many other special friends Mel and I have made over the last 16 months this is it we have a new home.
Love to all and extra strength to carry us through our next stage XXX

Hiya everyone
Just popping by to say hello. Feeling very strange at the minute i think its because its coming up to the anniversary and all these memories are flooding back to me again.
Vince's daughter is coming down for fathers day and when i look at her she is soo much like him, it makes me smile to think he lives on in his daughter. I wish he was here with me now, so much it hurts sometimes.

i would love to go and live in the sun, and a nice job somewhere, nothing that requires thinking too much, like selling pineapple on the beach, yea that would suit me down to a T, no telephones, paperwork, VAT, PAYE or annoying customers, or annoying tele sales.
Sipping wine in the evening, not feeling guilty about havin a nap in the afternoon lol
aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...................i'm so bored today, i've no motavation and have been clock watching from early lunch time, i wanna go home get the elastic waisted joggers & fluffy socks on, light the fire (it's cold & wet here) open a bottle of Pinot and watch the deperados going into the big brother house. Sad!! i know

Dawn - I can remember reading your story when I first joined and it stuck with me. Sorry you're hurting but I hope you gain strength from the visit from Vince's daughter.
Bern - I got away lightly as my meeting was cancelled!
Well everyone dad had the appointment today but I don't really know what happened. Mom saw the GP and I don't know much of what happened there either. Talking from what I can gather. I've had to tell mom that dad doesn't have 10 years or more left and that dormant doesn't mean it stays dormant for long. It was the right time to tell her and I feel we're at a new stage now.
I'll speak to the Mac nurse tomorrow about dad. I really don't know what to do. He's not speaking to mom and if he's been violent once what will stop him from doing it again? Do I take the very brave step of speaking to him or will it make things worse?
Dad has to have a calcium test but it won't be until next week. Do I have time to wait. I know, so many questions but I don't know what's the right thing to do.
Mel, Em, Barbie and anyone I've missed have a lovely evening.
