This is the start of a new journey for me and my much loved friends from the original Oesophegus thread on general discussions.

So my lovely friends Mel, Sam, Helen, Bern, Jac, Nic, Dawn, Sue, Cath, Lesley, Jani and the many other special friends Mel and I have made over the last 16 months this is it we have a new home.

    Thanks again Bern

I'll offload here as long as I can have some fun here too!!

I'll be speaking to the GP tomorrow, she was on leave today. I have a lot of faith in her. She's looked after dad really well and was the one who sent him straight to hospital when he presented with the symptoms that fateful day. She's called in personally and she asked his Mac nurse to drop in only a couple of weeks ago because she didn't think dad was doing very well. I have to know the causes anyway and have never shied away from further info - somehow it helps. You wonder how people find the strength to get through these things until you're in the middle of it yourself and you realise that some of the causes don't seem as bad as the effects if you see what I mean? Perhaps that doesn't make sense but if there is a progression at least it doesn't mean that dad has just turned into a monster...

Anyway shoes and cake and food what a delicious conversation. I'm just cooking minted lamb with gratin dauphinoise potatoes and green beans yum! Oh and talking of Jamie Oliver - that pasta dish with courgette and bacon that's advertised on TV is delicious and very quick to prepare. A good Saturday evening meal with a bottle of wine if you're not calling in a take away!

    Helllllo everyone!

Did the race yesterday although, because of lack of training, I had to walk most of the way. Feel pleased about the amount we raised though and it looks like it will go over the £500 mark. Great, considering I was hoping to get around £300. My legs are sore today but it was worth it and I was thinking about my Dad lots and of course all of my special friends here and their loved ones. Thank you so much for all of your messages of support. It was an honour to do the race with your loved ones names on my t-shirt.

Lesley - Thank you so much for your lovely words yesterday. I'm sorry I was so late in asking for your Dad's name but I was thinking of you. I hope this week is a better one for you X

Ems - I'm worried about you hun. Just remember that no matter how far you think you're going to fall, it's just not going to happen. We won't let you, Tony and the girls won't let you and, most importantly of all, you won't let you. That's because you know your Dad is watching over you, you know he would want you to be happy and that, will get you through. We're all here for you Em as always, don't push us out X

Melly - better go for the 10,000 methinks, you know me! Mmmm what has that doll been saying??? Hee hee, how did you get that picture of me being carried off yesterday! X

Nic - was thinking about you at the weekend. I hope this week is a better one for you hun X

Wendy - still keeping everything crossed hun that the pipster arrives soon X

Hi to Karen and Donna - anyone who talks about food is very welcome here X

Bern - what have you done with Barbie? You two off on that Dyson of yours? X

Helen - oi!!! I do believe you is ignoring me. AGAIN!!! Know you loves me really. Hope you had a fantastic time X

Kelsey - big (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) my friend. So sorry you are going through this. We are always here for you X ps I am on my way around to your house right now - your tea sounds yummy! X

Den - so pleased that you have been given the all clear. Make sure you let us know on Friday, then we can all start thinking of names! Hee hee, only joking, goodness knows what we'd come up with! X

Dawn - you are not feeling sorry for yourself and as Bern says, feeling like this is not a sign of weakness. We are all here for you. ((((((((((((((((((Dawn)))))))))))))))))) X

Jac - know you are not posting much at the mo but know we are always here for you too X

Cath - hope you are ok? X

Helen - yes, you again - will let you off as just received your text. About time too!!! Speak later my friend. Loves you X

Right, I'm off to have a glass of wine. Don't worry, it's just the one! I've been left on my own this evening as hubby is out with stepson and little one here is driiiiiiiiivvvvvvvvvvviiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg mmmmmmmeeeeeeeeee mmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaadddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Love to all,

Stop stop stop (or bop as my husband's 18 month old granddaughter says) enough already about the cake. I'm trying so hard (not really! he he)to "redefine my relationship with food" whatever that means.

    Anyway.

Dawn you first. Do you remember this time last year how rough things were? would you like to go back there? I'm sure you don't when all these firsts are over you will stop wobbling and settle. Things will never be the same again and that's ok. Your family need you and its ok for you to feel like pants. Write Vince a letter. I guarantee you'll feel better. I'm thinking of you lovely.

Bern. I would be truly honoured for you to use my dad's name. He's Charlie Mason and will toast you all the way round. I made a pact today with my colleagues at work. We're gonna do the Race next year! oh my word I'm already regretting it.

Keep doing it you lovely lovely people. Has anybody heard how David Lindale is doing? I think of him often.

Well Paula aka Sam well done you - you should be very proud of yourself!

Barbie - I don't go far away now. The other thread was leaving me all confused and I didn't want to put my foot in it with anyone. I'm managing to keep up here so I try to pop in daily. My poor brain can cope with that!!

Thank you for all your help and hugs and advice today. It means the world everyone.

    Love

    Kelsey xx
