I am feeling well at the moment even though I was hospilised a few weeks ago due to over dose of chemo. Hopefully they are going to get my levels right  next wed by halving dose. I have had to bulid my energy levels up and I can feel i am getting better that way as can climb stairs now all the way without stopping half way to get my breath. I also manage small walks each day. My motto is do something positve each day and all will be well.

Thank you Kate and all the best to you too.

    Love sunshine girl. xx

  • Hello, Sunshine girl, what a lovely name to post on here, maybe you brought the wall to wall sun here today? If so, thank you so much!

hi, folks, yesterday was busy, first we (hubs and I) drove to Warwick, and I went into my old school, a shade disappointed as the town gate (Eastgate) is now not accessible as it is not only now not a part of the school any longer, but is also reputedly unsafe AND up for auction! I did my first year sixth in one of those rooms!

Lunch was tasty, I met a girl (!) from my year and even one who I was a bus prefect to, bless her, she remembered me! The after lunch talk from Miss Wallace (taught music) who is now a Canon at Coventry Cathedral, was funny and brought back many memories.

Hubs and I met up and we drove back home, he'd had a meal in the Square in a nice cafe, he said, and had spent some time and money in the model train shop!

I then had a bit of a rest and went out to a concert, where son was leading the cello section in Mahler 5, they all played well, got home very tired to a couple of emails from Caz, she really has got her act in order again, had a bit of an upset last night but is feeling better again now.

It is so lovely today that I've been working in the garden, the lawn seed we put down is now up and looking good, we had a big patch which had sunk so as we had some topsoil, instead of the painful task of lifting the turf we planted on top of it, now looking good. Been cutting down and digging up a shrub we don't want any longer, lots still to do though.

My love and hugs to you all.....

hi, I am new to this forums so I thought I d try this one, didin know where to start I d just like to chat and make some new friends, it feels pretty lonely sometimes I have been diagnosed with peritoneal cancer 6 weeks ago only just come out of hospital and fighting it .... but am so happy to be out of the dreaded hospital room and looking at the ceiling with all drips in my veins! I love every minute of the day that i can spend with my dog and my children and being able to see the sky and clouds and sun makes me so happy, am trying very hard to remain positive but also know I need to prepare myself and my family for the worst and thats very hard.

  • Hello and welcome, yes, bad news seems set to follow any good, it seems the way of the world, but keep your spirits up and try to look for the best in everything.....at least the weather is good enough now for you to get out with your dog just a wee bit.  Enjoy all the time you can while you feel well enough, don't start worrying about what might happen, as it might not!

Our daughter keeps on living life to the full, we all must try to follow her example! You can have a look at  my profile to know what we are going through.

love and hugs to you, and to everyone who looks in here
